Vegetable oils and essential oils fear three things: light, heat and air. A few simple habits are enough to keep them well.
Why our bottles are blue or amber
Most of our liquids come in cobalt blue glass, and our small 3 and 5 ml essential oils in amber glass. This coloured glass filters part of the light, which alters oils over time. So keep your products in their original bottle.
Good habits
- Away from light: in a cupboard or a drawer, rather than on a windowsill.
- Somewhere cool: away from heat, direct sun or a car's rear shelf in summer.
- Tightly closed: close the bottle after each use, to limit contact with air.
- No contact: do not touch the dropper with your fingers.

Product by product
| Product | Advice |
|---|---|
| Immortelle oil, dry oil | Away from light and heat, bottle tightly closed. |
| Essential oils | Upright, cap tightly screwed on, out of reach of children. |
| Floral waters | Somewhere cool, spray closed. |
| Soaps | Between uses, on a well-drained soap dish so it can dry. |
| Serums | The airless bottle limits contact with air: close the cap well. |
Where to find the date?
The batch number and date are on each bottle, on the label or underneath. If the smell, appearance or colour changes, stop using the product.
