Our story

We are Pascal and Margaret. In Calvi, Corsica, we grow Immortelle, harvest it and distill it ourselves. Every Mardys Garden bottle leaves from our farm.

A field at the foot of the mountains

Our field is made of long rows of rounded Immortelle shrubs, with the high Calvi mountain range behind. Immortelle finds what it likes here: poor, stony soil, full sun and wind.

From seed to flower

We start from the seed. We plant, we look after the field, then we harvest by hand, with a sickle. The flowers then take two paths: sun maceration for our Immortelle oil, and the still for the essential oil and the floral water. It is all explained on our Our craft page.

Organic since 2008

The farm has been certified organic since 2008, inspected every year by Bureau Veritas (FR-BIO-10). On our labels, an asterisk marks each organic ingredient: see our certification.

From grower to bottle

There is no middleman between our field and your bathroom. We prepare the products in our small lab, fill the bottles, apply the labels, then pack and ship your orders ourselves, from Calvi.

What matters to us

  • Transparency: our labels say exactly what each bottle contains.
  • Simplicity: few ingredients, each chosen for its role.
  • Origin: a Corsican plant, grown and processed where it grows.
