Immortelle oil is ready to use: no measuring, no mixing. Our label sums it up in one line: "Ready to use. Massage daily onto skin." Here is how we use it, and what we recommend to our customers.
The basic gesture
- On clean, dry skin, pour a few drops into the palm of your hand.
- Warm the oil by rubbing your palms together lightly.
- Massage the area in circular movements until the oil is absorbed.
A small amount is enough: the oil spreads easily and nourishes the skin without weighing it down.
On the face
In the evening, apply 2 or 3 drops to the face and neck, massaging from the centre outwards. Avoid the area right around the eyes. In the morning, if your skin is dry, one drop mixed with your usual cream is enough.
Tip: first spray Immortelle floral water, then apply the oil to the still-damp skin. It spreads better and the skin looks softer.
On the body
After the shower, on slightly damp skin, massage the dry areas: arms, legs, elbows, knees. It is also a lovely massage oil, for a relaxing moment after a day of walking or sport.
What about the essential oil?
Immortelle essential oil is pure and highly concentrated. It is never applied neat to the skin:
- dilute 1 to 2 drops in a teaspoon of vegetable oil (such as our Immortelle oil);
- do a skin test in the crook of the elbow 48 hours before first use;
- it can also be used in a diffuser: a few drops, in a well-ventilated room, away from children.
Precautions to keep in mind
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and keep the bottle out of reach of children. Immortelle oil is not recommended during pregnancy. All the precautions, product by product, are listed in Precautions for use of our Immortelle products.
